8 MILLION PROVID FLOOR BAGS SINDH GOVT FOR KARACHI PEOPLES DETAILS

KARACH – The Sindh government would spend Rs 800 million on provision of subsidised flour to the citizens during the holy month of Ramazan, stated Commissioner Roshan Ali Sheikh while chairing a meeting on Thursday. The administration would set up 140 stalls in 26 sub-divisions of the five districts of the metropolis for the provision of subsidised flour, the commissioner announced, adding that under the relief package, eight million bags of flour each weighing 10kg would be available at Rs10 less than the market rate. He informed that subsidised flour would also be sold through weekly cut-price markets in different parts of the city, besides all departmental stores. Sheikh said the Sindh government was spending Rs2.5 billion to provide relief to the people in others parts of the province, while Rs800 million were being utilised on the public relief project in the metropolitan city. Officials of the Food Department, the additional commissioner, deputy and assistant commissioners and others attended the meeting.
